Peter Tjelta, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Peter Tjelta was raised in the Minneapolis, MN area. He attended college at the University of Alaska Fairbanks & University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Dr. Tjelta attened veterinary school at Iowa State University & recieved his degree in 2000.
After graduation he began his career in Grinnell, IA. In 2002 Dr. Tjelta became part owner of Lake Region Vet Service. Then in 2010 he became sole owner of the business & renaming it as Devils Lake Animal Clinic, & built a new establishment in 2015. Dr. Tjelta furthered his education in 2016 by becoming a certified canine rehabilitation therapist.
Dr. Tjelta enjoys working with companion animals. He dedicates his time concentrating on improving the overall health, quality of life & comfort of his patients as well as providing support for their humans. When Dr. Tjelta isn't seeing furry friends he enjoys skiing, traveling, and dogsled racing.

Brooke Zimprich, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Brooke Zimprich grew up on a farm near Lakota, North Dakota, which is where her love of animals first began. She attended North Dakota State University and then Iowa State University where she graduated with her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2017.
After working in East Grand Forks, Brooke accepted a position closer to home in June of 2018, and has greatly enjoyed servicing local clients and patients.
Dr. Zimprich and her husband Dylan both love spending time outdoors and are always busy making improvements to their farm. Brooke has a special place in her heart for bully breeds, especially her Olde English Bulldogges, Lola and Meru!
